摘要
语言的人文性决定外语教学能够、且应该肩负起培养学习者人文素养的重任。人类进入21世纪以后,国际化、全球化和多元文化的时代特征凸显了跨文化教育的重要意义。外语教学的学科属性使其成为实施跨文化教育最有效的阵地之一。本文在阐述跨文化教育的历史和内涵的基础上,界定了外语教学的跨文化教育目标。文章对美国、欧洲和我国外语教学中的跨文化教育实践与研究现状进行了对比分析,指出了我国跨文化教育存在的问题,并对未来的研究方向提出了建议。
Foreign language education,as a humanistic subject,can and should contribute to the improvement of learners' humanistic attainments.In the 21st century characterized by internationalization,globalization and multiculturalism,intercultural education has become the trend of education,and is therefore of great significance.Thanks to its humanistic nature,foreign language education is inevitably one of the most effective channels for intercultural education.This paper,after examining the history and definitions of intercultural education,proposes an objective framework for intercultural foreign language education.It looks into the current practice and research of intercultural foreign language education in the United States,Europe and China,with a view to identifying the differences and the problems existing in China.The paper finally puts forward some suggestions for future research.
