潘懋元与阿特巴赫的三大理论分歧——兼论高等教育研究的中国气派 被引量:1

Three Theoretical Differences Between Pan Maoyuan and Philip G.Altbach——Also Talking about the Chinese Style of Higher Education Research

摘要 潘懋元与阿特巴赫分别是中美两国高等教育研究中的重要人物。虽然二人之间并没有产生直接的学术争鸣,但他们在高等教育研究范式、高等教育发展道路以及高等教育研究立场上的理论分歧,不仅引人注目、发人深思,而且意义重大、影响深远。在高等教育研究范式上,前者秉持“学科论”,后者秉持“领域论”;在高等教育发展道路上,前者强调“借鉴超越论”,后者强调“依附发展论”;在高等教育研究立场上,前者秉承“文化主位论”,后者秉承“文化客位论”。这三大理论分歧映射出中美两国高等教育研究的总体差异,同时折射出高等教育研究的中国气派。由此而言,未来中国高等教育研究需要进一步坚定学科自信、道路自信和文化自信,致力于打造具有中国气派的学科体系、学术体系和话语体系。 Pan Maoyuan and Philip G.Altbach are important figures in higher education research.Although there is no direct academic dispute between Pan Maoyuan and Philip G.Altbach,these theoretical differences are not only eye-catching and thought-provoking,but also significant and far-reaching in higher education research paradigm,higher education development path,and higher education research standpoint.In the paradigm of higher education research,the former upholds the"discipline theory",and the latter upholds the"field theory".In the development path of higher education,the former emphasizes the"learning and transcendence theory",and the latter emphasizes the"dependent development theory".In the position of higher education research,the former adheres to the"cultural theme theory",and the latter adheres to the"cultural objective theory".Those three theoretical differences reflect the overall difference in higher education research between China and the United States,and at the same time reflect the Chinese style of higher education research.Therefore,higher education research needs to further strengthen discipline confidence,road confidence,and cultural confidence in the future in China,and strive to build the discipline system,academic system and discourse system with Chinese style.
