摘要
在"中华民族"的历史叙事与理论阐释中,历史学发挥着举足轻重的作用。作为国族概念,中华民族是建构的结果。在建构中,诸实践要素的互动,为之提供了现实动力;历史学的叙述与重述,为之提供了正当性支持。历史学对中华民族证成所发挥的积极作用值得肯定。但历史学的证成受到过去面向的内在限制。历史本身是变动的,过去不能直接证明现实,现实正当与否很难诉诸历史。中华民族有其历史渊源,但本质上却是现代产物。民族史、国族史与民族国家史,是理解中华民族的三个历史向度,只有在三个向度均不出现错位陈述的情况下,历史学才能有力证成中华民族。而保证三个向度陈述的相互支撑,必须免除历史与现实的扞格。但这在知识上很难实现。因此,有必要在知识上反思国族证成中的古为今用定势。
History plays an important role in the historical narration and theoretical interpretation of the Chinese nation.As a national concept,the Chinese nation is the result of construction.In the process of construction,the interaction of practical elements provides the realistic impetus;the narration and restatement of history provide proper support for it.History plays a positive role in the success of the Chinese nation.But the evidence of history is subject to the inherent limitations of the past.History itself is changing,and the past can not directly testify the reality,reality can not be justified by history neither.The Chinese nation has its historical origin,but it is essentially a modern product.Ethnic history,national history and country-nation history are the three historical dimensions towards understanding the Chinese nation.Only when the three dimensions are narrated without any misplacement,can history prove the Chinese nation.In order to ensure the mutual support of the three-dimensional statements,we must avoid the incompatibility between history and reality.But it is difficult to attain from the knowledge perspective,therefore,it is necessary to reflect on the knowledge of the ancient times for the sake of the present.
