摘要
关于情感与故事结构的研究,在西方文学传统中由来已久,甚至可以追溯到亚里士多德,但现代叙事学在这方面的研究相对薄弱。美国叙事学家帕特里克·科尔姆·霍根将情感科学与叙事研究相结合,提出了“情感叙事学”,尝试建构一种跨学科、跨文化的叙事理论。从其理论背景、研究范畴和主要特征来看,情感叙事学不仅有望成为当代叙事学的一个重要分支,还有助于拓展文学与认知研究的理论空间。
Although the study of emotion and story structure begins with Aristotle in the West,it is relatively neglected by modern narrative theory. Patrick Colm Hogan thus initiates a tentative study of “affective narratology”,exploring the fundamental and universal properties of narrative within the explanatory framework of contemporary affective science. This article attempts to analyze the contexts,contents and features of affective narratology as well as its theoretical potentialities.
