摘要
国际著名叙事学家戴维·赫尔曼著作颇多,这些学术成果在国外受到了较大的关注,国内相关学者也积极开展对赫尔曼相关叙事学著作的译介,包括他的专著、论文集与论文。由于翻译或多或少属于译者对原著的“二次创作”或“再加工”,即使是针对同一个对象的翻译,在译法的选取上,不同的学者都会基于自己的考量,最终选用自己觉得最合理的译法。因此,针对赫尔曼叙事学著作书名、文题名与由其本人提出的相关术语的翻译,很难找到一个统一的译法或标准。但毋庸置疑的是,这些针对赫尔曼叙事学著作的译介,会极大地提高赫尔曼在国内的知名度,同时,国内学者也能进一步了解他的叙事理论,从而在一定程度上推动国内叙事学的发展。
David Herman has drawn much scholarly attention abroad.Some Chinese scholars are therefore actively engaged in translating Herman′s narrative works,including his monographs,a collection of essays and articles.Since translation is a“re-creation”or“reprocessing”of the original work,different scholars will choose the most appropriate words on the basis of their own considerations.Therefore,it is difficult to find a unified method or criterion to translate the titles of Herman′s books and articles as well as some of his terms.However,Chinese scholars are still able to better understand his narrative theory and promote the development of narratology in China to a certain degree.
