摘要
应用型农业院校,是应用型大学中更为具体的大学办学类型,更为强调专业性,适用性和职业技能性。传统的英语教学模式有些无法满足应用型农业院校的教学需求。在ESP理论的指导下,大学英语教学也应当做出相应的改革去适应应用型农业院校的办学定位。为国家培养出更多更优秀的高素质实用型,农业英才,促进国家经济建设与发展。本文通过分析ESP理论,为应用型农业院校大学英语教学提供了一些改革与实践思路与方法。
As the new type of university, application-oriented agricultural universities stress on the professional, subject and vocational skill. And the traditional English teaching cannot meet the new university type. With the guiding of the ESP （English for Special Purposes）, the English teaching of university has to change and adjust itself in order to meet the conception of running application-oriented university. Only in this way can university cultivate more and more practical talents and promote the construction and development of university. This paper analyses the theory of ESP （ English for Special Purposes）, and provides some ways for the reform and practice of the English teaching of application-oriented agricultural university.
