摘要
本文通过综述当代ESP相关研究,梳理了ESP定义、研究内容与教学方法,提出当代ESP有别于传统ESP,它并不仅仅是关注语言教学的一门课程,更是引导了语言学理论发展的一个领域。由于ESP涉及相关专业学科语言,ESP从早期关注教学与材料而兴起的一门英语课程,到现在已经成为对各学科领域的专业语言、文本和语篇进行广泛研究,并引领语言学理论发展的一门学科。
Through reviewing the current related ESP studies,this article sorts out its definition,research and methods,and points out that the present ESP is not just a course focusing on teaching and materials,but also a research area which guides the development of linguistic theories.As ESP involves the languages of related professional disciplines,ESP,an English course that emerged from early attention to teaching and materials,has now become a field led by a large number of descriptions of professional texts and discourses,which has developed and deepened linguistic theories.
