摘要
复杂动态系统理论作为二语研究的前沿理论,为从不同的生态维度理解二语习得、发展和教学提供了一个全面的解释框架。本文首先讨论了复杂动态系统视角下二语研究的超学科性,强调该理论对二语研究的重要革新意义,继而梳理三大研究主线:1)学习者语言系统;2)学习者主体特征与个体差异;3)教师与教学环境。本文总结复杂动态系统理论研究的三大设计原则,提出从混合法到融合法的转向。本文最后提出未来研究方向,呼吁充分挖掘复杂系统理论的相关概念、研究对象从单语系统转向多语系统、研究场景拓展到数字化非正式学习,以及探索干预系统行为的有效方法。
Complex Dynamic Systems Theory(CDST),as a cutting-edge theory for second language research,provides a comprehensive explanatory framework for understanding second language acquisition,development,and teaching from different ecological dimensions.This paper first discusses the transdisciplinary nature of CDST-inspired second language research and highlights the significance of the theory in innovating second language research.Then it identifies three major research strands:(1)the learner language system;(2)the learner's characteristics and individual differences;and(3)teachers and the teaching environment.The paper summarizes three design principles of CDST-inspired research and proposes a shift from mixed methods to integrative methods.The paper concludes by proposing future research directions,calling for further exploring relevant concepts of the theory,shifting the object of research from monolingual to multilingual systems,expanding the research scenario to digital informal learning,and exploring effective strategies to intervene in the behavior of the system.
