摘要
在翻译西文“montage”的过程中,中国译者有意译和音译两套方案可供选择。由于“montage”一词本身的复杂性和“不可译性”,意译的方案最终被中国译者所放弃。最后,采用音译方案的“蒙太奇”一词在经过与其他音译词的竞赛之后,被确立为“montage”的标准译名。从近代全球知识流动的视角来看,“蒙太奇”一词的生成乃是一场涉及知识流动路线、话语权力与文化碰撞、译者的能动性与译语文化的主体性等一系列问题的跨语际实践。
In the process of translating the Western term"Montage",Chinese translators had two options:transliteration and free translation.Due to the complexity and"untranslatability"of the term"Montage"itself,the free translation option was eventually abandoned by Chinese translators.Ultimately,the transliteration"Mengtaiqi"emerged as the standard translation after competing with other transliterated terms.From the perspective of the modern global knowledge flow,the creation of the term""Mengtaiqi"is a cross-linguistic practice involving issues such as knowledge flow routes,discursive power and cultural collisions as well as the agency of translators and the subjectivity of the target language culture.
