Justice in Education:The Value Judgment of the Legitimacy of Education

摘要 教育在本质上是一种关系,是教育者与受教育者因教育行为形成的一种复杂而特殊的关系,它包括教育人际关系和教育分配关系。教育关系承载着教育的目的与使命。在分析教育关系问题时,平等和公平概念都是比较弱的。教育公正表达的是教育关系的合法性原理,主要体现为教育人际关系和分配关系的对等性。教育公正不是价值判断。教育正义是对教育合法性的价值判断,这意味着教育关系是合法的、好的,当且仅当,教育做到了教育所意味着的事情,即实现了教育存在的目的与使命。教育在根本目的上就是要使人获得创造幸福生活的品质与能力,要使个体具有谋求人类福祉的德性。这也是人接受教育的根本目的。 Education is in essence a relationship;specifically,it is a complicated and particular relationship between educators and educatees in the course of education,including the education-oriented interpersonal relationship and the education-oriented distribution relationship. The relationship of education carries its goals and missions;an analysis of it shows that the concepts of equality and fairness are vague. Fairness in education expresses the legitimacy of the relationship of education,and reflects the equivalence between the education-oriented interpersonal relationship and the education-oriented distribution relationship;it does not indicate a value judgment. Justice in educational,a value judgment of the legitimacy of education,indicates that the relationship of education is legal and good;when and only when education does what it means,it accomplishes its goals and missions. Education essentially aims at helping people acquire the qualities and abilities to create a happy life,and enabling individuals to have the virtue of seeking human well-being. This is also the fundamental purpose of education.
