摘要
银行业结构变迁对于推进“碳减排”、实现低碳经济转型具有重要影响。本文基于我国30个省的经济数据,首先测算各地区的银行业竞争水平、集中度和低碳经济效率。然后构建理论模型,将银行业结构对低碳经济的影响机制分解为四种效应,并进行实证检验。最后建立空间分位数模型,探索低碳经济的空间外部性。测算结果表明,东部沿海地区的低碳经济效率显著高于中西部地区。效应分解表明,银行业集中的规模效应提升了低碳经济效率,而结构效应、技术效应和创新驱动效应对低碳经济具有抑制作用。从总效应看,银行业集中阻碍了低碳经济转型,而银行业竞争有利于低碳发展。空间分位数回归发现,低碳经济发展具有显著的空间溢出效应,本地低碳经济效率的提升可有效带动周边地区的低碳发展;且随着分位点水平的升高,低碳经济的空间正外部性呈增强趋势。
The structural changes in the banking industry have an important impact on promoting"carbon emission reduction"and realizing the transformation of a low-carbon economy.Based on the economic data of 30 provinces across China,this study firstly measures the competition level and concentration of the banking industry and calculates the low-carbon economic efficiency of each region.Then it constructs a theoretical model,decomposes the influence mechanism of banking structure on low-carbon economy into four effects,and conducts empirical tests on these bases.Finally,it establishes a spatial quantile modelto explore the spatial externality of low-carbon economy.The calculation results show that the efficiency values in the eastern coastal areas are significantly higher than those in the central and western regions.The effect of decomposition shows that the scale effect of banking concentration enhances the efficiency of the low-carbon economy,while the structural,technological and innovation-driven effect have a dampening influence on the low-carbon economy.In terms of the overall effect,the more competition in banking industry,the more positive inflnence on low-carbon development.Spatial quantile regression founds that low-carbon economic development has a significant spatial spillover effect,and the improvement of local low-carbon economic efficiency can effectively drive low-carbon development in other regions.In addition,with the rise of the quantile level,the positive spatial externality of the low-carbon economy shows an enhancing trend.
