摘要
近代岭南著名报人王斧于1906年从《唯一趣报有所谓》转到《香港少年报》,并在两份报刊上发表了数篇域外题材小说。王斧的域外题材小说表现了他对侦探故事的青睐,在艺术上借鉴西方小说技巧,采用“一人一事”的布局,灵活运用小说序言,巧妙设置悬念,或结局反转,情节注重新奇,体现了“新与旧”交织的特点。王斧的域外题材小说用文言文描写域外的故事,但弘扬的仍是中国精神,表现中国传统伦理道德的内涵,呈现出“中西合璧”的特色。王斧通过域外题材小说表达他的忧国意识,实现他借小说来“开启民智、醒世救世”的创作意图,体现了鲜明的时代特征。
In 1906,the famous modern journalist from Lingnan,Wang Fu,left The Unique Amusement Paper Has Its Saying and joined The Hong Kong Youth Daily,where he published several foreign-themed novels in both publications.Wang Fu's foreign-themed novels revealed his enthusiasm for detective stories and incorporated Western novel techniques in his art,with each character having their own unique story.He skillfully employed prefaces,suspenseful plot twists and reversals,and novel settings to showcase his masterful weaving of the"new and old".Wang Fu's foreign-themed novels describe foreign stories in classical Chinese,but they still express the Chinese spirit,express the connotation of Chinese traditional ethics,and present the characteristics of"combining Chinese and Western elements".Wang Fu used his foreign-themed novels as a vehicle to express his national consciousness and to promote his creative intention of using novels to enlighten and save the world,and it embodies the distinct characteristics of the times.
