摘要
从显化翻译的角度,结合实例,探讨显化翻译在中成药说明书英译中的应用。通过五种途径,即增加解释性表达、增加汉语中省略的成分、化抽象为具体、增加句子之间的逻辑关系词、调整句子结构,提高中成药说明书译文的可读性,从而促进国外消费者对中成药说明书的理解以及中成药在海外市场的销售。
The application of explicit translation to English translation of instructions of Chinese patent drugs is discussed via the example. In order to raise readability of translation of Chinese patent medicine instructions, five ways could be adopted and they contain adding explanatory expression, replenishing the omitted components in China, turning abstract into concrete, increasing logical relation words between the sentences and adjusting the sentence structure, therefore to promote the foreign consumers′ understanding to the instruction and the sales of Chinese patent drugs in overseas markets.
