摘要
语用论辩话语研究大多强调论辩话语的重构和评价,却忽视论辩双方动态建构的身份(即语用身份)对论辩过程和论辩策略的影响。本文将语用身份的概念融入语用论辩学理论,建构基于语用身份的论辩话语分析路径,考察刘欣在与Trish Regan跨洋电视论辩中的身份建构情况,阐述语用身份建构对论辩效果的影响。研究发现,刘欣动态建构了两种语用身份:论辩正方的默认身份和多重变异身份。在论辩过程中,动态语用身份建构对实施恰当的言语行为、驳斥反方立场、维护正方立场、消除意见分歧起到积极的作用。语用身份的融入增强了论辩话步的合理性、策略操控的实效性和立场可接受度。
Most research of Pragma-dialectical argumentative discourse mainly focuses on reconstruction of argumentative moves and evaluation on argumentative effects but neglects the impact of speakers’ dynamically-constructed identity(pragmatic identity) on the process and strategies of argumentation.This paper constructs a specific research path which integrates Pragmatic Identity into Pragma-Dialectics Principles and analyzes Liu Xin’s pragmatic identity construction in ther argumentative dialogue with Trish Regan on the TV show,elaborating the functions and effects of pragmatic identity.It discovers that Liu Xin constructs two kinds of pragmatic identities in the argumentation:default identity and deviational identity.In course of argumentation,Liu Xin constructs her default protagonist identity and dynamic potential identities,which justify her speech acts and contribute to defending her standpoint against all the attacks by the critical antagonist and settling their disagreements.Her strategic pragmatic identities contribute to enhancing argumentative reasonableness strategic effectiveness,and standpoint acceptability.
