摘要
王际真为中国文学的海外传播做了诸多开创性的工作,译作得到西方主流作家和学者的高度认可。本文根据相关译评,就《红楼梦》英译、鲁迅作品英译、古代作品英译、《现代中国小说选》、《中国战时小说》以及其他散译探讨了王际真译介活动及译本特征,以还原这些译本在推动中国文学海外传播所产生的重要影响。
Chi-chen Wang is a pioneer translator of Chinese literature. Yet, due to lack of accessible research materials, most of his translation works remain unexplored in China. On the basis of related reviews in journals and newspapers, this article discusses his translated works Dream of the Red Chamber, Ah Q and Others： Selected Stories of Lusin, Traditional Chinese Tales, Contemporary Chinese Stories, Stories of China at War and other translations. Such an effort may help to reestablish the influence of those translated works for Chinese literature dissemination in the English world.
