摘要
本文对汉语本族语者(调查组)和英语本族语者(对比组)使用I’msorry和Excuseme的情况,及调查组使用I’msorry和Excuseme与“对不起”和“请原谅”的情况,进行了均值对比和方差分析。结果表明:(1)调查组使用I’msorry和Excuseme的平均值与对比组的有差别;(2)调查组使用I’msorry和Excuseme与“对不起”和“请原谅”的情况无显著性差别;(3)调查组在该用I’msorry和Excuseme的语境中却不用的现象比较多。在此结果基础上,作者分析了两句英语道歉语的语用功能异同,及与汉语道歉语的差异。作者认为形成差异的主要原因是:社会文化意识不同;跨语言使用中产生了语用“负迁移”。
A Mean Comparison and ANOVA were conducted to compare the use of l＇m sorry and Excuse me by native Chinese speakers （NCS） with that by native English speakers （NES）. Simultaneously, it also compares means of CNSs＇ use of I＇m sorry and Excuse me with their use of the Chinese equivalents ＂Duibuqi＂ and ＂Qingyuanliang＂. The results are： （1） the frequency of using Excuse me by CNS is much lower than that by ENS; （2） CNSs＇ use of I＇m sorry and Excuse me and their use of ＂Duibuqi＂ and ＂Qingyuanliang＇＂ is of similar frequency; （3） the situations using neither I＇m sorry nor Excuse me by the CNS are more than that by the ENS. Finally the authors attempt an analysis of the discrepancy. The authors claim that the main causes of the distinction are： diversity of social factors and cultural norms, and occurrence of pragmatic transfer in the interlanguage communication.
