摘要
                
                    概述自下而上、自上而下两种具有代表性的阅读过程理论模式,讨论图式理论对外语阅读过程的解释及图式在阅读理解过程中的作用,分析以上理论对外语阅读教学的启示与意义。
                
                It is one of the important tasks to improve Chinese EFL students' reading comprehension ability, yet reading process has long been discussed tentatively, as a result various theories about reading have been put forward. The paper first presents a general survey of two influential theoretical model of reading process, i. e. bottom-Up model, top-down model, then it discusses the schema theory and its contributions to reading comprehension and finally the pedagogical implications of these theories for EFL reading are analysed.
