摘要
基于委托代理理论、女性关怀伦理理论与社会角色理论探讨女性董事与女性监事对高管—员工薪酬差距的影响机理,并比较二者之间的影响效应。以2010—2020年沪、深两市A股非金融上市公司24107条数据为样本进行实证分析。实证发现:女性董事从薪酬公平的角度对高管—员工薪酬差距具有显著的纠偏效应,而女性监事则更强调锦标赛激励效应,表现出较低的薪酬公平偏好,二者影响效应完全相反。丰富的稳健性与内生性检验证实了结论的可靠性。研究结论丰富了薪酬差距的相关研究,拓展了女性高管的研究视域,同时为完善女性高管参与公司治理提供了理论参考。
Based on the principal-agent theory,female care ethics theory and social role theory,this paper discusses the mechanism of the impact of female directors and female supervisors on the executive-employee pay gap,and compares the impact between the two.Taking 24107 data of A-share non-financial listed companies in Shanghai and Shenzhen Stock Exchanges from 2010 to 2020 as samples,the empirical results show that female directors have a significant inhibitory effect on the executive-employee pay gap,while female supervisors have a significant promoting effect on the executive-employee pay gap.The effects of the two are completely opposite.A wealth of robustness and endogenous tests confirmed the reliability of the conclusions.The conclusion of this paper enriches the relevant research on executive-employee pay gap,expands the research horizon of female executives,and provides a theoretical reference for improving female executives’participation in corporate governance.
