摘要
本研究采用描述分析方法,以美国16家国家级语言资源中心为例,考察这些中心的使命、语种设置及关注课题,探讨美国外语研究如何服务于国家战略。调查发现美国语言资源中心关注中小学外语教育,重视区域外语人才培养,侧重非通用小语种的语言资源开发,优化语言教师培训与教育技术应用,着力构建符合美国全球战略意图的外语教育资源网络系统。同时,文章结合我国现实语境,讨论了美国语言资源中心建设对我国外语教育的启示。
Through a descriptive analysis,this study,taking 16 national language resource centers of the United States as cases,examines their missions,features and current research projects in a way to explore how the US foreign language research in service to the nation.The research findings indicate that the US language resource centers pay attention to foreign language education in elementary and secondary levels,intellectual education on geographical areas,especially developing resources for those less commonly taught languages;attention is also targeted towards language teacher training and educational technology applications in an effort to build the foreign language education resource network system in line with the US global strategic intent.Lastly,based on the Chinese context,some implications are discussed on the construction of the US language resource centers to foreign language education in China.
