摘要
中欧班列作为连接亚欧大陆的国际运输新通道,其开通运营可以加快要素流动、优化资源配置,为经济增长新动能提供新的发展契机。以中欧班列开通作为准自然实验,基于2008一2022年中国271个地级及以上城市数据,采用多期双重差分模型实证检验中欧班列开通对经济增长新动能的影响。研究发现:中欧班列显著促进了开通城市新动能的发展;异质性分析表明中欧班列开通对东部、非重点、非资源型城市新动能的影响效果最显著,对东北部、重点、资源型城市的影响较小。机制检验表明:中欧班列通过扩大对外贸易规模和提升金融发展水平促进新动能发展,市场化水平在中欧班列开通和经济增长新动能发展之间具有正向调节作用。研究结论对推动中欧班列高质量建设和促进经济增长新动能发展具有积极的现实意义。
The China-Europe Railway Express,serving as a new international transportation corridor link-ing the Eurasian continent,can accelerate the flow of factors,optimize resource allocation and provide opportu-nities for the new impetus of economic development.Taking the launch of the China-Europe Railway Express as a quasi-natural experiment,this study empirically examines the impact of its launch on the new impetus of economic development by using a multi-period difference-in-differences(DID)model,based on data from 271 prefecture-level and above cities in China from 2008 to 2022.The results show that the China-Europe Railway Express has significantly promoted the development of the new impetus in the cities along the routes.Heterogeneity analysis indicates that the China-Europe Railway Express has the most significant impact on the development of the new impetus in eastern,non-key and non-resource-based cities,while its impact on northeastern,key and resource-based cities is comparatively smaller.Mechanism inspection indicates that the China-Europe Railway Express fosters the development of the new driving force for economic growth through the scale of foreign trade and the level of financial development,and the marketization level plays a positive moderating role between the opening of the China-Europe Railway Express and the development of this new im-petus.The research conclusions hold positive practical significance for promoting the high-quality construction of the China-Europe Railway Express and fostering the new impetus for economic development.
