摘要
英语写作是英语语言学习的四项技能之一,也是令众多学生颇感吃力的单项。除了受制于词汇和语法,东西方文化差异造成的思维方式的不同也是导致学生难以适应西式文风和呈现地道表达的主要原因。文章从东西方文化差异的视角,阐释思维差异对英语写作逻辑的影响,以及如何增加文化差异意识来归化自身写作风格,帮助学生跳脱中式思维,调整写作风格向目的语读者靠拢,提升英语写作水平。
English writing is one of the four skills in English language learning,and it is also a challenging task for many students.In addition to being limited by vocabulary and grammar,the differences in thinking patterns caused by cultural differences between the East and the West are also the main reasons why students find it difficult to adapt to Western style writing and present authentic expressions.From the perspective of cultural differences between the East and the West,this article explains the impact of thinking differences on the logic of English writing,as well as how to increase awareness of cultural differences to naturalize one's own writing style,help students break away from traditional Chinese thinking,adjust their writing style to approach target language readers,and improve their English writing skills.
