摘要
西方中国形象史发展的历程,经历了四个阶段,即梦幻的形象、理想的形象、落后的形象和被“妖魔化”的形象。西方中国形象生成过程有其内在理路和原因,与不同时代中国国家的实力和地位有关,也与西方国家不同时代的实力地位相关,更与西方国家在不同时期的政治诉求和文化心理有关。塑造国家形象,不能一味地重复别人的话语,在别人的话语下塑造自己的形象,而应该立足自身的发展,塑造不同于西方的国家形象。
The evolution of China’national image in the West has experienced four stages,namely,the imaginative image,the ideal image,the backward image and the“demonized”image.There are inner mechanisms and some reasons for the formation of China’s national image in the West,which is related to the strength and status of both China and Western countries in different times,and the political demands and cultural psychology of Western countries in different periods as well.To build the national image,we shouldn’t only repeat others’discourses and shape our own image based on others’discourse.Rather,we should build China’national image different from the West based on our own development.
