摘要
本文聚焦英诗汉译的节奏演变,指出在以往的英诗汉译中,节奏的翻译问题一直存在欠缺,即便是最常用的“以顿代步”的方法实际上也没有解决节奏的节拍转换问题,更没有触及节奏的声律问题。本文对百年英诗汉译在节奏上的演变进行了概括性的梳理,并对存在的问题和未来的发展进行了讨论。
Despite the various approaches that have been tried,rendering ST's rhythm remains less than satisfactory in Chinese translation of English poetry.Even the most popularly adopted method of“substituting dun(pause)for foot”in TT fails to adequately represent either the beat pattern or the tone pattern of the ST.On the basis of a general survey of Chinese translators’century-long methodological experiments with rendering rhythm in E-C translation of poetry,this paper points to some possibilities for solving the problems exposed and improving the quality of E-C poetry translation.
