摘要
本文以Web of Science核心合集中的二语语用能力研究高被引文献为分析对象,采用定量内容分析法,梳理述评了国外二语语用能力研究方法。分析结果显示:(1)DCT、角色扮演等传统数据收集工具虽然存在局限性,但仍是主流工具,民族志、心理实验、元分析等新兴方法能够弥补传统工具的不足;(2)二语语用能力研究偏重定量分析,但定性分析和混合分析应用呈现上升趋势;(3)复制性研究在二语语用能力研究中未得到足够重视。文章最后展望了二语语用能力研究方法的发展方向。
Through a quantitative content analysis of the highly cited papers on L2 pragmatic competence in the core database of Web of Science,this paper reviews the methods in L2 pragmatic competence research abroad.The findings are:(1)the traditional data collection tools like DCT and role plays are widely used in spite of their shortcomings,and the newly-emerged tools like ethnography,psycho-experiments and meta-analysis can offset the limitations of the traditional tools;(2)while quantitative analysis takes a dominant position in L2 pragmatic competence research,qualitative analysis and mixed methods show a rising trend;(3)replication is not fully appreciated in L2 pragmatic competence research.The paper concludes with future directions for the development of methods in L2 pragmatic competence research.
