国进民退视角下的银行绩效研究

Study on Bank Performance from Perspective of the state-owned Enterprises Advancing as the Private Sector Regressing

摘要四十年的改革开放中国的经济和国际地位都获得了巨大发展,但是也面临国内经济转型和国际贸易保护主义加剧的多重问题。这种外部市场环境的持续恶化以及企业自身的股权质押爆仓使得许多民营企业的经营难以为继,因而国有企业收购民营企业的事件开始增多并引发了人们对"国进民退"的担忧。在此背景下先是基于12家上市银行国有股权的近11年的变动趋势判断出银行业不存在"国进民退"现象。再根据上市银行2007—2017年的面板数据,对银行国有股权与绩效的关系进行了实证研究,结果发现即使存在"国进民退"的现象,银行绩效也未必会降低,因为国有股权与银行绩效呈现的是一种倒U型的曲线关系,国有股权的增加只要在合理的范围还是有利于提高银行绩效的。最后基于实证结果对民营企业家、政府、银行三方提出相应的建议。 Thanks to the Reform and Opening up policy in the past 40 years, China’s economy and international status have achieved tremendous promotion, but the economy also faces multiple problems brought by domestic economic transformation and increased trade protectionism from international market. The continuous deteriorating international market together with enterprises’ failing the pledges of stock rights have made it difficult for these private enterprises to continue their businesses. As a result, quite a few private enterprises have been acquired by state-owned enterprises, which has raised public concerns, leading to the observations that "the state-owned enterprises advance as the private sectors regress". In the context, the variation trends have been studied of the state-owned shares of 12 listed banks in the past 11 years, and the study comes to the conclusion that there is no such an issue that "the state-owned enterprises advance as the private sectors regress" in the banking industry. With the panel data of listed banks from 2007 to 2017, an empirical study is made on the correlation between state-owned equity of a bank and its performance. It reveals an inverted U-shaped curve relationship, which means that even if there is such a phenomenon that "the state-owned enterprises advance as the private sectors regress", bank performance may not be reduced. And the increase in state-owned equity is conducive to bank performance as long as it is within a rational range. Finally, based on the studies, suggestions are made to private entrepreneurs, governments, and banks respectively.
