摘要
将六氯环三聚磷腈用季戊四醇改性后应用于聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯(PET)的阻燃研究,通过极限氧指数(LOI)和垂直燃烧性能的测试判定其在PET中的阻燃效果,协同热失重分析和燃烧后炭渣的表面形貌探讨其阻燃机理。结果表明,在阻燃剂含量仅为6%时,试样的LOI达35%以上,而在阻燃剂含量仅为3%时试样的阻燃级别达到UL94 V–0级。材料燃烧后炭渣的扫描电镜图表明,内表面是多孔型的,而外表面是连续致密的,为改善材料的热性质和降低可燃气体的扩散提供了一层屏障。
A novel flame retardant composed of hexachlorocyclotriphosphazene (HCCP) modified by tetramethylolmethane had been prepared to modify poly(ethylene terephthalate)(PET). The preliminary application for improving flame retardancy of PET was investigated by limiting oxygen index (LOI), vertical burning test and thermo-gravimetric analysis. The retardant rnachanism was discussed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM) used to investigate the morphology of char residue with thermal gravimetric analysis.The results show that the novel flame retardant has excellent fire retardancy, i.e.the sample achieve an increased UL94 V-0 rating with flame retardant content of 6% and LOI value more than 35%. SEM demonstrate that the char of blends with a continuous outer surface and porous internal structure provide a good barrier to improve the thermal behaviours and decrease thermal properties of the composites during burning.
