On the Management of Self-access Center with the Help of Modern Educational Technology

摘要 英语自主学习中心的建立需要有明确的目标、先进的理论指导和配套的软硬件设施的支持。但是,当前我国许多高校的英语自主学习中心普遍存在着硬件设备不足、管理水平低下、学生认知策略和元认知策略缺乏等问题。因此,建设高水平的英语自主学习中心及进行科学化的管理对于充分发挥英语自主学习中心的功能,培养大学生的自主学习能力,推动大学英语改革进程,具有重要意义。 There should be a specific aim to set up a self-access center (SAC), and advanced theoretical guidance and proper hardware and software facilities are also needed. But in China, there exist some problems, such as improper hardware, poor management and ignorance of cognitive and meta-cognitive strategies, which resuR in the inefficiency in the use of SAC. The construction and scientific management of a high- level SAC have some significant meanings for maximizing the function of SAC, training college students' self-learning ability and promoting the process of college English teaching reform.
