Two approaches in Corpus Linguistics:Their origins,divergence and prospects

摘要语料库语言学领域的两种研究范式之争由来已久。"语料库驱动"的研究范式以"激进的经验主义"为哲学基础,以Firth的语境论为语言学基础;而"基于语料库"的研究范式以"温和的经验主义"为哲学基础,发展过程中受到了美国结构主义语言学理论的重要影响。哲学基础和语言学理论基础的不同导致了研究范式的差异。本文系统梳理语料库语言学两种研究范式的渊源及其基本思想的形成原因,分析两种研究范式的主要分歧,并展望语料库语言学的发展前景。 Disputes between the corpus-driven approach and the corpus-based approach have always been part of the history of Corpus Linguistics.While the former takes radical empiricism as its philosophical foundation and Firth's theory of contextualization as its linguistic foundation,the latter is philosophically based on moderate empiricism and draws heavily on American Structuralism.These differences have resulted in their divergent methodologies.This study attempts to look into the diverging views of the two approaches by tracing their historical origins as well as their ideological basis.A prospective analysis of Corpus Linguistics is also made.
