摘要
在一定意义上说,科举有如古代的高考,高考有如现代的科举。古代科举在追求考试公平的同时兼顾区域公平的历史传统,影响了近代以来的高校区域布局和目前高考分省定额划线录取制度的实行。在改革和完善高考制度的过程中,应该借鉴科举考试的某些防弊措施与考试管理方法,加强考试立法。研究历史上的科举考试制度,可为当今的高考改革提供参考和借鉴,因此,科举学研究具有很强的现实性。
In a certain sense, imperial examination (IE) was college entrance examination (CEE) in ancient China while CEE is IE in modem China. The tradition of IE pursuing fairness in terms of not only scholarship but also equal opportunity across regions has an impact on the regional distribution of modem universities and the practice of enrolment based on provincial quota and scoring classifications. It is argued that in the process of reform and improvement of CEE we should draw upon IE measures which had proved effective in preventing cheating and IE management practices with a view to strengthening current legislation for examination. The study of IE has important implications because it can provide valuable lessons and theoretical references for the current campaign of CEE reform.
