摘要
本文利用语料库语言学研究方法对英语学习者的吞音现象进行了实证调查。检索分析大学四、六级口语语料库(COLSEC)的结果显示,英语学习者普遍存在吞音现象;吞音多发生在词尾,以辅音吞音最为常见。而辅音吞音在发音部位、发音方式和清浊差别上的分布也不均匀。作者尝试从语内因素和语际干扰两个方面探寻吞音发生的原因,并针对语音教学提出了改进意见。
The swallowing of sounds is a common phenomenon among the English learners in China. This survey presents an in-depth examination into this phenomenon based upon data gathered from the COLSEC (College Learner Spoken English Corpus). The result shows that the swallowing of sound has an extensive yet uneven distribution. Most common at the end of a word, the swallowed sounds include vowels, consonants, and syllables, with the second as its majority. The swallowing of consonants is, again, unevenly distributed in terms of the place of articulation, the manner of articulation, and voice. Attempts are made to search for a reason from both intralingual and interlingual angles and suggestions are given on such basis.
