摘要
数千年来,昭通大地上众多的民族在不断的迁徙与定居的交流中,伴随着无数次的冲突与融合、征服与反抗,产生过成千上万的民族地名。地名记录了昭通先民在改造环境、开发资源、建设家园的生产、生活历程中的酸甜苦辣、喜怒哀乐;表达了当时人们对生老病死、人情世故、众生百态的感悟与反思。地名是研究昭通地理、历史、政治、经济、文化的百科全书,也是了解民族习俗、风土人情的生动教材。
Since several thousand years, many nationalities on Zhaotong land have created thyousands of national place-names in the exchange of uninterrupted migration or settlement, and to the accompaniment of immerable conflict or compromiser, subjugation or resistance. These place-names noted down Zhaotong ancestors＇ sweet and bitter feelings, their joy and anger and their pleasure and sorrow in their lives and production when they improved environment, developed resources and built their homes and villages. They also expressed people＇s realization and reflection of that time to people＇s birth, age, illness and death, people＇s worldly wisdom and people＇s postures. The place-names are the encyclopaedia to research Zhaotong geographym, history, politics, economy and culture, and also are the vivid teaching material to understand the national conventions and local conditions and cusoms.
