摘要
传统的大学英语翻译教学模式已不能适应中国文化走出去对具备专业背景的翻译人才的需求,教学改革势在必行.将自建的《三国演义》汉英平行语料库应用于大学英语翻译教学,分别从词汇、句法、篇章三个层面探讨其在搜寻对应词、构建译语句式和实现译语篇章连贯性方面的应用价值.研究发现,这种数据驱动教学模式有助于提高学生的学习主动性、积极性和创造性.
To promote Chinese culture overseas,the conventional translation teaching method fails to meet the growing need of qualified translators with specialized knowledge.By drawing on the empirical evidence of the Chinese-English parallel corpus Three Kingdoms in college English translation teaching,the present paper attempts to demonstrate the application value of corpus in finding equivalence,construing idiomatic sentence structures and achieving textual coherence respectively on the lexical,sentential,and textual planes.It is found that the data-driven teaching method excels in promoting students’initiatives,enthusiasm and creativity.
