摘要
地理意象是近年才被关注的研究对象,地理学界比文学界关注更早,研究成果更突出,对文学界已形成倒逼之势。但是,地理学界对意象的定义与文学界认识有歧异,本文认为应吸取地理学界的观点,将地理意象界定为:一切文本中对地理客体所作的描述、指称、隐喻,以文学文本对地理客体所作的形象描述为代表。地理意象可包括两类:一是形象感强而富有意蕴的地理意象,二是缺乏形象感,意蕴无多的地理意象。从意象的地理要素看,可分为区域意象、环境意象、景观意象、地名意象等。从意象与现实地理客体的对应关系看,可分为写实性地理意象、符号性地理意象、虚拟性或象征性地理意象三类。本文认为对不同类别的地理意象要采用不同的研究方法,但总体上看,要使地理意象研究取得更大的突破,既要对一般意象研究存在的问题加以必要的反思,也要对地理学界的地理意象研究范式加以总结,并作参考。
Geographical imagery is a research object that has only been paid attention to in recent years.The geographer has paid attention to it earlier than the literature,and the research results have been more prominent,which has formed a force to the literary circle.However,the definition of imagery in the geography circle is different from that of the literary circle.This article believes that the perspectives of the geography circle should be combined.So geographical imagery should be defined as descriptions,references,and metaphors of geographical objects in all texts,represented by the description of image of geographical object in literary texts.Geographical imagery can be divided into two categories:one is the geographical imagery with sense of vivid image and rich implication,and the other is the geographical imagery without sense of image and rich implication.From the geographical elements of imagery,it can be divided into regional imagery,environmental imagery,landscape imagery,toponymic imagery,etc.From the corresponding relationship between imagery and real geographic objects,it can be divided into three categories:realistic geographic imagery,symbolic geographic imagery,virtual or symbolic geographic imagery.This article believes that different research methods should be adopted for different types of geographical imagery.But in general,to make a greater breakthrough in geographical imagery research,we should not only reflect on the problems existing in general imagery,but also summarize the research paradigm of geographical Imagery in geography circle and make reference.
