摘要
高影响力活动是指对学生发展具有显著正向作用的各项课内外教育实践活动。本研究基于2019年中国本科教与学调查数据(样本量=4461)梳理出本土情境下的十项高影响力活动,强调本科生的参与行为与其毕业之后的预期目标高度匹配。Logistic回归结果表明:立志读硕的学生对其中六项活动的参与度都较低;立志读博的学生参与学术相关的活动(老师的课题或项目、各种竞赛)更为踊跃;计划出国的群体对海外交流的参与显著高于期待去"985"高校的学生;倾向于政府机关或事业单位的学生与向往其它单位类型的学生在参与学生会、创业等方面的行为显著不同。此外,本科生高影响力活动的参与受家庭背景的影响,并呈现出显著的性别、年级与学科差异。上述实证依据有助于拓展本土化的高影响力活动理论框架。
High Impact Practices(HIPS)are significantly positive correlated with student development.Based on the 2019 Chinese College Teaching and Learning Survey(N=4,461),this study summarizes ten high impact practices grounded in the context of Chinese colleges and highlights that college students match their post-graduate goals when they decide to participate those practices.The results of logistic regression demonstrate that students aiming at a master’s degree participate less in six practices while those aiming at a PhD degree are more active in the practices related to research(such as faculty’s projects or various competitions).Students planning to go abroad participate more in oversea exchange than those preferring Project 985 universities.Students prefer working for government or public service have different participation behaviors(such as in student council or startup)than those choosing other employers.The participation behavior pattern is also affected by family background and significantly different by gender,grade and discipline category.The empirical evidence mentioned above contributes to expand the localized conceptual framework of high impact practices for college students in China.
