摘要
研究第一代大学生的身份转型和学校适应有助于考察社会阶层文化的区隔,理解低文化资本家庭子女教育获得的群体困境。本文以“生活—学习”项目、“差异—教育”项目和“教育机会基金”项目为具体案例,系统梳理了美国针对第一代大学生所制定的干预项目的理念与做法。研究发现,这些干预项目的主要特点有:普遍将干预实践与干预研究紧密结合、重视学生的家庭出身和社区角色、重视补充学生的文化资本与社会资本、深入反思帮扶理念和评估干预成效。这些理念和做法为我国相关的研究工作、政策制定、服务实践提供了参考。
Studying the identity transition and university adaptation of the first-generation of college students is helpful to understand the dilemma of students from families with low cultural capital.This research takes the“Living-learning”project,the“Difference-education”intervention project and the“Educational Opportunity Fund”program as specific cases to systematically investigate the practices and characteristics of the intervention programs developed for the first-generation college students in the United States.This study finds out that these intervention projects generally closely integrate intervention research into practices,pay attention to students’original family or communities,stress on supplementing students’cultural capital and social capital,and deeply reflect on the philosophy of intervention and assess the effectiveness of programs.These studies and practices would shed light on Chinese relevant research and work,including academic studies,government’s policy making,and the social service.
