摘要
《山海经》作为上古时期流传下来的百科全书,其中华文化内涵不可小视。对于《山海经》的译介有许多,但其传播效果及吸引力仍然有限。虽然学界从多个角度对《山海经》的译本进行研究,但将其视为科技典籍,研究其中文化负载词译介的相关研究较少。该研究以《山海经•海外经》为研究对象,从人物名、国家名、动植物名三个方面进行举证研究,探讨了科技典籍中文化负载词的翻译策略。在翻译文化负载词时,应当从文本环境中寻找线索;适当增译;对不确定的词语进行批注,并附上最新的研究进展;专有名词进行音译或直译。
As an encyclopedia handed down from the ancient times, the Chinese cultural connotation of the Classic of Mountains and Seas cannot be underestimated. There are many translations of this book, but its dissemination and appeal are still limited. Although the translation works have been studied from several perspectives, there are fewer studies that consider it as a scientific and technical text and study the cultural loaded words in it. This study takes the Classics of Areas Overseas as the object and discusses the translation strategies of culturally loaded words in scientific and technological texts by citing three aspects: names of people, names of countries, and names of animals and plants. When translating cultural loaded words, clues should be sought from the textual environment;appropriate additional translations should be made;uncertain words should be annotated with the latest research progress;and proper names should be translated phonetically or directly.
