摘要
散文作为一种重要的文学体裁,其美学价值的传递是散文翻译中不可忽视的一个方面。朱自清是我国著名的现代散文家,发表了众多脍炙人口的创作,其中《匆匆》一文以其语言优美、思想深刻受到大众喜爱,也被众多翻译家们译为英文广为传诵。其中,中国著名翻译家张培基先生的英译本被誉为经典译本之一,很好地传递了原文的思想内容和审美价值,值得后辈学习。本文从翻译美学的视角,对张培基先生的译文从语音、词汇、句法、意象和情志几个方面进行赏析,探索其如何在译文中再现原文的美学价值,希望为翻译美学视角下的散文翻译研究提供借鉴。
Prose is an important literary genre, in the translation of which the reproduction of aesthetic value is an aspect that cannot be neglected. As a prominent modern Chinese prose writer, Zhu Ziqing published quite a few well-known works, among which Transient Days enjoys great popularity because of its beautiful language and profound thought and also has been translated into English by many translators. The English version of Zhang Peiji, a renowned Chinese translator, is acclaimed as one of the classical translations for well delivering the thoughts and aesthetic value of the original, which is worth learning by younger generations. This paper, on the basis of translation aesthetics, aims at exploring how Zhang Peiji’s translation reproduces the original’s aesthetic value by appreciating it in the aspects of speech sounds, words, syntax, image and feelings, with the hope of serving an example as to the study on prose translation from the perspective of translation aesthetics.
