摘要
vP壳结构是最简方案对20世纪80年代管约论的理论构建进行改造的一个重要成果。作为对动词词组内部结构表征的最优化表达，它成为最简方案中用来解释句式生成的底层结构或基础结构。本文拟以vP壳为底层结构来讨论英语中三类看似相近，实则不同的一项谓词句的生成过程，从中可以看出vP壳结构对语言中句式生成的高度概括性和解释力。
The 1980s′Government & Binding theory was remolded in the light of the new theory of the Minimalist Program and the vP-shell structure is one of the key achievements of that reformation. As the optimal representation of the internal structure of VP, the vP-shell structure is taken as the underlying structure to account for the generation of constructions in human languages. Taking this structure as the derivation basis, the present paper aims to discuss the generation of the three seemingly similar but substantially different one-place-predicate constructions, which greatly highlights the strong generality and interpretability of the vP-shell structure in generating sorts of sentence patterns.
