摘要
双宾语句是人类自然语言中一类特别重要的句式。句中间接宾语与直接宾语在语义和句法上都有着特定的关系。如何在结构表征和生成推导中做到既要体现这种关系 ,又要维持X阶标的二分叉原则 ,是转换生成语言学 (TG理论 )中一个极富挑战性的课题。对此课题语言学家们提出过各种不同的解决方案 ,其中以Larson(1988)中的Larson壳和Radford(1997)中的vP壳结构最具代表性。对这两种方案进行比较 ,可以看出TG在管约论和最简方案两个时期中在解决问题思路上的不同之处。
Double-object construction is a type of key construction in human natural languages in which the indirect object bears special relations with the direct one. How to successfully embody these relations and to maintain the binary-branching principle in X'-theory at the same time in structural presentation and generative derivation is a challenging task for the transformational-generative linguistics (TG theory). To solve this problem, linguists put forward different proposals among which the most representative ones are the Larson shell construction by Larson(1988) and the vP shell construction by Chomsky(1995)/Radford(1997). This paper aims to make a comparison between these two shell constructions through which we can see how different the Government & Binding (GB) theory of TG is from the Minimalist Program (MP) in solving.
