摘要
高素质的写作教师队伍是实现高校英语有效写作教学的关键。本研究以社会文化理论为指导,采用多例个案研究的形式,探索高校英语写作教师专业知识的内涵和获取途径。研究发现,高校英语教师开展写作教学所依托的专业知识由学科内容知识、学科教学知识和情境知识三个主要范畴构成,促进写作教师专业知识发展的中介工具包括文化产物和活动、科学概念和社会关系,这些中介工具的协同作用促进了高校英语写作教师专业知识的发展。研究对高校英语写作教师培养具有积极的启示意义。
The preparation of qualified writing teachers is essential for the enhancement of college English writing instruction. This study employs a sociocultural framework to study the professional knowledge of college English writing teachers through a case study design. Both the components of writing teacher knowledge and sources of writing teacher knowledge are examined. The study finds that the professional knowledge of college English writing teachers comprises of three major categories, namely content knowledge, pedagogical content knowledge and contextual knowledge. The writing teachers in the study employ cultural artifacts and activities, scientific concepts and social relations to internalize their knowledge for teaching writing. The findings have implications for the preparation of college English writing teachers.
