Construction and Display of Tool Swept Volume in 5-Axis Machining

摘要 介绍一种新的刀具扫描体生成算法。分析五轴机床加工中刀具的运动特点 ,将刀具扫描体看成离散刀位点之间的单个扫描体的叠加。推导了用 NURBS表达扫描体的公式 ,结合 Open GL给出了五轴刀具扫描体的仿真结果。五轴扫描体的构造是曲面的加工精度验证中的一个技术难点 。 A new generation algorithm of tool swept volu me is presented. Based on analyzing the properties of tool motion in 5-Axis mac h ining we view the tool swept volume as the link of several small ones. We develo p the NURBS formula for swept volume, then give a simulation example of 5-Axis tool swept volume using OpenGL. The construction of 5-Axis tool swept volume is a important technology point in accuracy verification. Simulation shows that ou r algorithm is an efficient method for constructing and displaying the tool swep t volume.
