摘要
科技名词术语的统一和规范标志着国家科技发展的水平,尽管国内有多种汉英中医词典出版,并有世界卫生组织传统医学术语国际标准的出台,但中医术语英译的规范统一问题仍未得到解决。中医术语英译的规范与统一问题,可以从包含隐喻的中医术语英译、中医与西医术语表达一致或部分一致的英译、中医术语的音译加注释这三个方面进行探讨。
The unification and standardization of scientific and technological terms serves as a good indicator of the development of national science and technology. Although many Chinese-English dictionaries of Traditional Chinese Medicine( TCM) and also WHO International Standard for Traditional Medical Terms in the Western Pacific Region have been published,the standardization of TCM terms in English still remains unsolved. The standardization and unification of English translation of TCM terminologies can be explored from the following three aspects: TCM terms including metaphors;TCM terms consistent or partially consistent with Western medical expressions;TCM terms with transliteration with annotation.
