摘要
《普通高中英语课程标准》(2017年版2020年修订)(以下简称《课标》)明确规定高中英语课程的总目标是培养具有中国情怀、国际视野和跨文化沟通能力的社会主义建设者和接班人,具体而言就是要培养学生的英语学科核心素养。词汇是语言能力中语言知识的重要组成部分。对词汇知识的掌握不仅对学生语言能力的发展,而且对其他核心素养的提升都发挥着不可替代的作用。然而,当前的词汇教学不仅忽视了主题语境,孤立地讲授词汇,而且忽视了词汇所在的特定文化语言环境,在一定程度上也脱离了文化语境,难以完全达到《课标》提出的“进一步扩大词汇量,提高运用词汇准确理解和确切表达意义的能力”的要求。
The"Curriculum Standards for Ordinary High School English"(2017 edition,revised in 2020)(hereinafter referred to as the"Curriculum Standards")clearly stipulate that the overall goal of high school English curriculum is to cultivate socialist builders and successors with Chinese sentiment,international perspective,and cross-cultural communication skills,specifically to cultivate students'core literacy in English subject.Vocabulary is an important component of language knowledge in language ability.Mastering vocabulary knowledge not only plays an irreplaceable role in the development of students'language abilities,but also in enhancing other core competencies.However,current vocabulary teaching not only neglects the thematic context and teaches vocabulary in isolation,but also ignores the specific cultural and linguistic environment in which the vocabulary is located.To some extent,it is also detached from the cultural context,making it difficult to fully meet the requirements of the"Curriculum Standards"for"further expanding vocabulary and improving the ability to accurately understand and express meaning using vocabulary".Therefore,based on the theory of cultural context,this teaching design aims to closely integrate vocabulary learning with cultural background,enabling students to understand and apply English vocabulary in practical contexts,cultivate English thinking,and achieve deep internalization of vocabulary.
