摘要
涉海类博物馆是航海科技遗产的宝库,其中的文物相关科技术语翻译需确保专业性、历史性、普及性,适应目标语言环境,促进文化传播。基于《中华人民共和国国家标准——术语工作原则与方法》,通过对广东海上丝绸之路博物馆造船、航海与考古技术三大领域的涉海文物相关科技术语的外宣翻译进行分析发现,翻译文本中存在概念指称错配、术语前后不一致等问题。通过“去芜存菁”“查漏补缺”“求同修异”策略,提出改进措施。
Maritime museums are repositories of maritime technological heritage,wherein the translations of related scientific and technical terms associated with cultural relics must ensure professionalism,historical accuracy,and accessibility,adapting to the target language environment to facilitate cultural dissemination.Based on the Terminology work—Principles and methods,the analysis of translations of technical terms related to shipbuilding,navigation,and archaeological techniques in three major fields of maritime cultural relics at the Maritime Silk Road Museum of Guangdong is carried out.Issues identified include mismatches in conceptual references and inconsistencies in terminology throughout the translated texts.Thereupon,improvement measures are proposed through strategies of refining,supplementing,and harmonizing terms.
