From Possibility to Reality:Paradigmatic Reflections on Digital Craftsmanship

摘要美国著名科学哲学家托马斯·库恩提出的“范式理论”对于探讨技术发展变迁与工匠范式的形成、变化、取代,特别是澄清数字工匠的在场与出场的问题,具有重要的理论指导意义。数字工匠作为一种范式,是在工业技术或者说常规技术形成、发展、危机出现,发生技术革命,进而被以人工智能、大数据、云计算、区块链、物联网等为核心的新质信息技术冲击、逐渐取代的过程中,由工匠范式一步步演变、转换而来的。对技术实践进行历史性考辨可知,数字工匠是在其内、外史的交互作用中发展前进的;从技术发展的共时性维度来看,数字工匠是在其必然性与偶然性的关联中建构它的生存世界、可能世界和意义世界的。 Thomas Kuhn's paradigm theory offers valuable theoretical insights for examining technological evolution and the formation,transformation,and succession of craftsmanship paradigms,particularly in understanding the transition of digital craftsmanship from conceptual possibility to tangible reality.As a distinct paradigm,digital craftsmanship has evolved through the development,crisis,and revolutionary transformation of conventional industrial technologies,gradually materializing as these traditional approaches faced disruption from transformative information technologies centered on artificial intelligence,big data,cloud computing,blockchain,and the Internet of Things.Historical analysis of technological practices reveals that digital craftsmanship progresses through the dynamic interplay between its internal developments and external contexts.From a synchronic perspective,digital craftsmanship constructs its existential,potential,and meaningful domains through the complex relationship between deterministic forces and contingent possibilities,steadily transforming from theoretical potential into practical reality.
