摘要
根据国家翻译学的提法,其研究对象是国家翻译实践,而其核心概念是翻译的国家性,即翻译与国家有天然的联系,受制于国家,这是一个模糊的概念。实际上,所谓的国家翻译只是政府组织的翻译,基本上是政治方面的,是中译外的。而翻译还有个人翻译,涉及自然学科知识和外译中等,把所有翻译说成具有国家性是以偏盖全。国家翻译学不仅翻译对象模糊,而且也没有形成学科的交叉性,因为国家学并不存在,更没有自己独立的学科理论体系和方法。因此,我们需要认真斟酌国家翻译学概念的可行性。
It is said the state translation studies(STS)as a new discipline is to study state translation practices.Its core concept is that translation is characterized by stateness,that is,there is an inherent connection between translation and a state.However,translation covers all knowledge in the form of translation both from Chinese to foreign languages and form foreign languages into Chinese,undertaken by both individuals and governments.The STS only refers to the translation organized by a government action,concerning political translation and translation from Chinese to foreign languages.Hence,state translation is a vague concept.It also lacks inter-disciplines as state is not a discipline.Furthermore,it does not have its own independent theories and methods.
