摘要
埃及作家伊兹丁·舒克里的小说《布鲁克林大桥上的拥抱》讲述了埃及移民在美国格格不入的生活经历。小说通过对东西方文化冲突的反思,表达了对民族中心主义和种族主义的批判与反抗。小说展现出了文化冲突的表象与后果,即二元对立的文化冲突和隐形的文化冲突,以及文化冲突的影响和文化冲突的隐喻。作者归结了对于东西方文化冲突走向的看法。从实现人类命运共同体的角度出发,应当提倡用相对文化主义思想来化解文化冲突的矛盾。
Embrace on the Brooklyn Bridge by Egyptian writer Ezzedine C.Fishere tells the story of an Egyptian immigrant’s misfit life in the United States.Through reflecting on the cultural conflict between the East and the West,the novel expresses criticism and resistance to ethnocentrism and racism.The novel shows the appearance and consequence of the cultural conflict,that is,the dualistic and invisible cultural conflict,as well as the influence and metaphor of cultural conflict.The author sums up his views on the trend of cultural conflict between the East and the West.From the perspective of realizing a community with a shared future for mankind,we should advocate the idea of relative culturalism to resolve the contradiction of cultural conflicts.
