摘要
生活质量是养老生活中追寻的重要目标,精神健康是衡量老年人生活质量的重要维度。在以居家照料为主的养老模式下,照料失能老人使老年配偶承受了巨大的心理负担。使用中国健康与养老追踪调查(CHARLS)数据,基于精神健康的视角研究了失能老人居家照料对老年配偶生活质量的影响。结果表明,老年人失能给配偶带来了更大的精神压力,使CES-D得分上升了大约10%,是老年配偶生活质量下降的一个重要原因,而且对老年女性的影响要强于男性。因此,老年人失能时,应当及时对其配偶的精神健康进行干预。此外,当老年人失能时,配偶有资格领取城镇职工基本养老保险,能够缓解配偶精神健康遭受的不利影响,避免了生活质量的大幅下降,这对老年女性精神健康的缓解作用要强于男性。
The quality of life is an important goal pursued in elderly life,and mental health is an important dimension to measure the quality of life of the elderly.In the old-age care mode based on home care,caring for the disabled elderly makes the elderly spouse bear a huge psychological burden.Using data from the China Health and Retirement Longitudinal Study(CHARLS),this paper studies the effect of home care for disabled elderly on the quality of life of the elderly spouses from the perspective of mental health.The results show that the disability brought greater mental stress to the spouse,which increases the CES-D score of the spouse by about 10%.It is an important reason why the quality of life of the elderly spouse declines,while a stronger effect is observed on elderly women than on elderly men.Therefore,when the elderly is disabled,the mental health of their spouses should be intervened in a timely manner.In addition,when the elderly is disabled,the spouse’s participating in the Firm Workers Pension can alleviate the adverse effects on the mental health of the elderly spouse and prevent a sharp decline in the quality of life.This alleviating effect on the mental health of elderly women is stronger than on men.
