摘要
《穷理学》以逻辑学为基础而建构的西学知识体系与中国传统的以经史为核心、以四部为框架的知识体系完全不同。但是,这一可以为传统知识系统输入新鲜血液的西学集成之作并没有被康熙帝和他的大臣们接受,其原因是什么?论文从文本内容、南怀仁的目的、态度与方法以及当时的政治文化环境予以分析,认为清前期帝国和皇权的政治需求是导致其不被接受的决定性因素。
The western knowledge system built on the basis of logic is totally different from the Chinese traditional knowledge system which takes the Confucian classics and history as the core and the Si Bu as the framework.However,this collection of western learning,which could bring new blood to our traditional knowledge system and make up for its deficiency,was not accepted by Kangxi and his ministers.Why was Qiongli Xue not accepted?By analyzing the text,the translation purpose,attitude and methods of Verbiest,and the political and cultural environment at that time,we conclude that the political needs of empire and imperial power in the early Qing Dynasty were the decisive factors that led to its neglect.
