The Book of Ri(the sun)inscribed on bamboo slips discovered in Shuihudi(a place where tigers sleep)is like a mirror reflecting the ritual culture in the Warring States period. The main contents of the book relate to rituals of sacrifice, wedding and funeral ceremony. The gods recorded have different meanings showing the co-existence of Chu culture and Qin culture. The rituals of wedding in this book involve the date for the feast, rites for birde escorting and bridal chamber.Funeral ceremony described concerns the whole process of funeral and different ways of buring for men and women. In general,The Book of Ri demonstrates that Qin State inherites the Zhuo culture and keeps its own specific rituals as well.
